Chris writes: I now have three Protocab units running on my CCLRailway layout. It takes a bit of nerve to drill holes and take apart the Brand New Loco, therefore probably relinquishing all rights under warranty etc. But it's done and works well.
What is great I can walk anywhere in the loft and drive the train, setting the route in front of it, not constrained by wired sections or having an umbilical cord back to a control panel. In fact I often put the controller in my pocket or round my neck, so I have 2 hands free.
Many thanks Chris for kindly permitting us to publish the following photographs of your installation of Protocab to power a Gauge O tank engine.
